The Red Cross is in desperate need of volunteers to help with screening at Blood Drives.  The following is a message from the American Red Cross, Utah and Nevada Region.

"Not All Super Heroes Wear Capes"

Join us online on Friday April 17 at 11:30 AM and discover the powerful role of volunteering within the American Red Cross: From the pioneering work of founder Clara Barton, to the vital support provided by people just like you.

The American Red Cross is the primary organization responsible for delivering life-saving support to people in crisis throughout the country. Over 93% of that effort is provided by volunteers. From disaster relief to life-giving blood donations,  people like you are making a difference at the American Red Cross every day.

You can join me for this 1-hour event online Friday, April 17 at 11:30 AM.  Space is limited, so reservations are required.

Finally... Medical grade mask making we can support!!!  This is an international initiative of Intermountain Health, University of Utah Health and Latter-day Saint Charities.

A Message from "Project Protect"

Please consider inviting individuals, families, friends, and others in your communities to sew medical masks in their homes for this urgent and important project. Ten thousand volunteers per week are needed to sew 100 masks from precut, medical-grade fabric, distributed in kits at selected Deseret Industries stores. This will be repeated for five weeks and begin next Tuesday, April 21.

Those who are available for 10–15 hours during the week and have sewing skills and a sewing machine are invited to sign up! Registration is required to participate.

Registration will be available beginning Friday, April 17. Details and instructions can be found at

Thank you so much for your willingness to serve at this unprecedented time.
