UNA is excited to present a half-day online conference focused on developing knowledge and skills to interact with and influence legislators on policy issues that affect nurses, the nursing profession and population health.  We welcome keynote speaker, UNA/ANA member, Darlene Curley MSN, RN, Columbia University Nursing Professor and formerly a Maine state legislator.

Darlene will share her insight on effective nursing advocacy from her experience as a nurse and past state legislator and recommend approaches to developing professional constituent-legislator relationships.  There will be time for participant Q&A and geographic-specific group breakout discussions on Zoom to foster the development of constituent nurse communications with local legislators.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to participate in a statewide conference that provides a venue to meet and collaborate with other nurses in your geographic location!  We look forward to seeing you there and to our future coordinated work on specific legislative measures.
